The first rule about WhiteBoard is there are no rules. The WhiteBoard should be a safe place that people can go to illustrate the good and bad ideas that are rumbling around upstairs. If you think it, you should write it – plain and simple. No idea ever did any good left in the shower.
The second rule of WhiteBoard is sharing. Use this space to strategize and see what gets your blood flowing. Chances are if it excites you, it will excite someone else.
Thirdly, organize. Don’t just leave your mess of ideas on the WhiteBoard, visually draw out the end plan and create a vision. The WhiteBoard should show a map of where you started and where you intend to go. When you are done, you should have a sea of inspiration from which to move forward.
